SEALING COLLAR Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: piston machines, pumps, engines and compressors; sealing piston rods. SUBSTANCE: sealing collar is made from plastic material in form of bush formed by longitudinal sealing part with outer and inner taper surfaces combined with radial sealing part which is made in form of outer ring located above base of collar; this ring has cylindrical outer surface. Vertices of inner and outer taper surfaces are located above base of collar. Collar is also provided with centering part combined with radial sealing part; centering part is made in form of inner cylindrical ring located above base of collar whose inner radius is lesser than radius of inner taper surface at level of collar base. EFFECT: enhanced tightness; enhanced operational reliability and durability due to relief of longitudinal sealing part of collar because of action of load at radial motion of rod. 8 cl, 3 dwg
