FIELD: wood-working industry, furniture and house manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming pack of planks; arranging planks in vertical position and providing mechanical air circulation in pack of planks so that air flow is directed from the bottom to the top along plank patches and ribs; closing ends and plank patch parts with aqueous emulsion substance possessing good adhesion to wet plank wood. Aqueous emulsion substance is applied to part of plank patches in strip extending above core of each patch from one to other end of plank. Method provides for uniform drying of planks, increased drying rate, prevents planks from shrinkage and cracking. Wood dried by said method does not absorb moisture from air. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider range of use and improved quality of wood. 2 dwg
