FIELD: digital X-ray equipment intended for nondestructive inspection of objects, custom-house inspection of cargo and luggage, examination of luggage of air passengers, inspection of products in pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: proposed X-ray device forms narrow fan-shaped roentgen radiation flux for probing of objects and employs single-row matrix of photodetectors with filtering structure across input of photodetectors. Device also has inspection camera with transportation unit to move objects through radiation zone and computer to form shadow images and to identify chemical composition of objects. Filtering structure forms repeating group of three or more X-rays with distinguished energy spectra of photons across inputs of photodetectors in absence of object. In process of object probing computer forms several shadow images of object corresponding to different virtual energy spectra of probing radiation ( according to number of rays in group ). Joint processing of these images makes it possible to identify chemical composition of object.
