X-RAY DEVICE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2191997 C2

FIELD: digital X-ray equipment intended for nondestructive inspection of objects, customs control over cargo and baggage, air passengers, for inspection of air and sea containers, for test of products in pipe-lines. SUBSTANCE: proposed X-ray device employed pulse fan-shaped X-ray flux to sound objects and single-row matrix of photodetectors. Excitation system of pulse source of current of accelerated electrons is so implemented that periodic train of groups of two or more pulses of current of electrons with electron energy changing from pulse to pulse inside group is formed on target. Excitation system simultaneously forms code per each pulse in group and sends them over special information channel to system for reception of signals from outputs of system of photodetectors and system for reception of signals itself is equipped with additional cells of marks of signals. While X-ray device operates system for reception of signals numbers signals from outputs of photodetectors, supplements digital code of each signal with present code of pulse of electrons and sends these information signals to computer. Computer forms several shadow images of object according to number of pulses in group corresponding to different spectra of X-ray radiation. Joint processing of these shadow images makes it feasible to identify objects single-component by chemical composition with presence of two pulses in group and to identify multicomponent objects with formation of group including three or more pulses of accelerated electrons. EFFECT: identification of chemical composition of complex objects comprising several chemical components by sounding ray. 6 cl, 8 dwg
