FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to the production of finishing materials from hardened wood used for wall cladding. Blanks made of solid wood for the parts of the front layer are sawn, fired along the formation, ends and edges, after which the burnt and least dense layers of wood are mechanically removed from the surface, obtaining a relief surface with an enhanced color contrast between the early and late zones of wood to the height of the resulting relief of 0.3÷2.0 mm, then the blanks are pressed in presses, after which heat treatment is carried out in the temperature range of 150÷220°C for 1 to 12 hours, depending on the thickness of the processed blanks and the loading volumes of the drying chamber. The finished tiles are selected by color and texture and glued to the base with a relative displacement of the front layer to form a lock and a ridge for a reliable and invisible connection of the assembly units of the finishing material with each other.

EFFECT: increase in the decorative effect of the tiles of the front layer by revealing the texture, increasing the physical and mechanical, hygienic and operational properties.
