METHOD FOR OBTAINING ANTIRABIC VACCINE Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: veterinary biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: method includes the preparation of inoculation material out of rabic viral strain "Schelkovo- 51", infectioning with inoculation material of interwoven cells culture VNK-21, cultivation of rabic virus, collection of virus-containing liquid, virus inactivation and subsequent preparation of a target product either in a liquid or lyophilized form. Inoculation material is obtained in cellular culture VNK-21. Moreover, the primarily reproduced virus is thermally treated to save 0.001-0.0001% intracerebral murine LD50 in treated population. The obtained virus-bearing suspension containing thermostable viral particles is used to infect cellular culture VNK-21. Thermal treatment of "Schelkovo-51' strain is carried out for 140-160 h at 37-38 C. In case of more productive and technological method the suggested vaccine is of higher immunogenic potency and provides improved protection against rabies. It is explained by the fact that as a result of thermal treatment more resistant valuable various predominate in viral population. EFFECT: higher efficiency in protection against rabies. 1 tbl
