FIELD: mechanical engineering, instrumentation engineering; drive mechanisms for rotary motion between shafts with parallel axes. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in orientation of toothed articles produced by electrical discharge cutting relative to end surfaces (upper and lower end surfaces and left-hand and right-hand end surfaces) for maximum compensation of conicity arising in the course of electrical discharge cutting on teeth flanks. For realization of this method, said surfaces shall be marked to indicate end surfaces (upper and lower end surfaces and left-hand and right-hand end surfaces). Position of end surfaces (upper and lower end surfaces and left-hand and right-hand end surfaces) of toothed article blanks relative to upper and lower guides of gauge of electrical discharge cutting machine shall be taken into account; machining of each toothed article shall be effected at similar modes.
