FIELD: manufacture of intricate-profile articles from conducting materials, particularly, cylindrical involute gears with preset degree of accuracy, with external ring gears. SUBSTANCE: for electroerosion shaping of side surfaces of ring gear teeth, preset in such a trajectory of coordinate motions of wire-electrode tool from one point of control to another point of control at which invariable values of actual error of approximation are provided at each of elementary lengths of approximation of active section of end involute profile of tooth side surface. For less critical sections of end involute profile, invariable space is provided between shaping points of each of these sections. Number of these points is preset minimum permissible. EFFECT: produced geared articles with sixth to eighth accuracy degrees and higher process productivity and reduced costs. 2 dwg
