FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed round-tooth involute tooth system has gear with convex round cross section teeth formed by rotation of involute of base circle around radial axes of gear in middle plane of toothed rim. Teeth of engaged gear wheel are formed by concave in cross section surfaces as a result of forced combined rotation with preset gear ratio (generating method) of wheel blank and gear as combination of generating relative positions of profiles of engaged teeth of gear. Initial standard (normal) parameters of involute tooth system of gearing are in middle plane toothed rims. Gearing employs convex-concave contact thanks to which smooth and noiseless operation is provided, teeth of wheel have developed base and resistance to bending is one order of magnitude greater than that of prismatic teeth.
