FIELD: high- temperature non-metallic materials used for protective coats of resistive heat-generating elements working in oxidizing media. SUBSTANCE: refractory charge includes the following components, mas.%: Y₂O₃, 35-65; Al₂O₃, 15-37; La₂O₃, 3-14; B₂O₃, 1-9; MgO, 3-6; Cr₂O₃, 1-5; and SiO₂, 1-4. Multi-component material obtained from refractory charge and used for production of coats includes crystalline phases at the following relationship, mas. %: yttrium oxide Y₂O₃, 45-65; aluminomagnesium spinel MgAl₂O₄, 10-20; lanthanum chromite LaCrO₃, 3-15; mullite Al₆Si₂O₁₃, 5-15; lanthanum aluminate LaAl₁₁O₁₈, 5-15; and boron oxide B₂O₃, 1-9.
