FIELD: construction engineering; manufacture of building structures with protective and insulating layers; erection of moisture-proof parts of buildings, roofs in particular. SUBSTANCE: multi-layer material for covering building structures includes at least waterproofing layer on base of oligomer containing epoxy, hydroxyl, carbonyl and carboxyl groups using oligomer on base of products of pyrolysis of solid combustible fossils containing, mas. %: phenols, 5.0-50, including: polyatomic, 10-15; bicyclic, 35-40; monoatomic, 40-45; neutral compounds, 50-95 including: oxygen compounds, 45-55; polycyclic aromatic compounds 25-30; monocyclic aromatic compounds, 1.0-5.0; paraffins and olefins, 10-15. Material may contain porous inorganic filler and vapor-insulating layer. Concrete claydite and oxides may be used as fillers in said layers. Method of applying the protective and insulating coat on reinforced concrete plate of ceiling includes as minimum application of mixture of binder on base of oligomer and inorganic lumpy porous material on surface of finished plate; said mixture is thoroughly stirred beforehand; layer is held to complete hardening; oligomer on base of pyrolysis products of solid combustible fossils described above is used as a binder. After hardening of first layer, outer layer may be applied on it. Technological layers may be applied in between them. EFFECT: enhanced durability; low cost. 13 cl, 1 dwg
