FIELD: artillery ammunition. SUBSTANCE: process of launch of artillery projectile with driving belt located behind warhead consists in formation of gas pressure in space behind projectile, in movement of projectile along gun barrel and in formation of additional gas pressure acting on body of warhead in space of barrel in front of driving belt in process of movement of projectile along gun barrel. Process is realized by artillery complex including artillery gun with barrel, propelled charge and projectile with driving belt located behind warhead. Space formed by internal surface of bore, external surface of projectile and front butt of driving belt communicates with space behind projectile through hole made in driving belt. Thickness of cylindrical wall of warhead is found by formula given in description of invention. EFFECT: enhanced combat effectiveness of artillery armament. 2 cl, 2 dwg
