FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: round comprises body, steering band composed by front and split rear rings fitted in body grooves, one after the other. Circular cavity open to recess rear wall is made from rear ring inner surface. Stepped rear ring has ledge at front end. Rear ring ledge is fitted in front ring circular cavity. Radial clearance is arrange between ledge outer surface and circular cavity inner surface. Clearance is arranged between rear ring and rear wall. Rear ring rear end has radial grooves and circular ledge from the side of inner surface make the cavity communicated with behind-the-round space. Steering band front and rear rings can turn relative to round axis and to each other. Cavity is made between front ring front end, inner surfaces of rings and body to communicate with aforesaid cavity composed by circular ledge and radial grooves. Front ring outer surface has ledges corresponding to gun barrel bore rifles.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of round obturation with finished rifles in artillery pieces.
