FIELD: military equipment, in particular, shells with an unfolding tail assembly. SUBSTANCE: the shell has a body with a driving band on which bosses are made corresponding to the rifles of the gun bore. Grooves are made in the contour of the outer surface of the leading band across the shell longitudinal axis, the depth of the grooves is less than a half of the width of the bosses, and the leading band is made in the form of a ring, elastic- deformable in the radial direction, and installed in a recess on the body with a clearance in the axial direction providing for turning of the leading band relative to the shell longitudinal axis. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of obturation. 4 dwg
