DIRECT-CURRENT GENERATOR Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2192090 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: DC generator has frame, thermal-to-electrical energy converter, and terminals. Novelty is that thermal-to-electrical energy converter is made in the form of heat pipe which is, essentially, vertical cylinder made of nonmagnetic heat-conducting metal. Cylinder has top wall provided with cooling ribs and at bottom it is closed with lid joined to bedplate. Inner space of cylinder is divided into top and bottom cavities by means of partition provided with outlet valve opening to top cavity. Top and bottom cavities of cylinder are intercommunicating through pipelines provided with cooling ribs each incorporating inlet valve opening to bottom cavity. Top and bottom cavities as well as pipelines are filled with easy-boiling liquid doped with finely dispersed ferric oxide held in suspended condition. Two permanent magnets joined together by means of steel core that mounts wound coil surround cylinder with their opposite poles. Coil winding is connected in series with diode and capacitor, leads of the latter being connected to generator terminals. EFFECT: improved performance characteristics. 15 dwg
