FIELD: equipment for flame cutting, possibly in different branches of machine engineering, metallurgical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: plasmotron includes housing 11 in which are coaxially arranged: electric current supply 1 with duct for feeding air, cathode 3 with insulation sleeve 5, cooling cavity 8 with ducts 12, 13 for feeding and discharging cooling air; nozzle 9 and nozzle holder 10. Cooling cavity 8 is in the form of tore formed by means of two grooves; one groove is arranged in body of nozzle 9 and other - in nozzle holder 10. Ducts 12, 13 are made in body of nozzle holder 10 and they are arranged by pairs tangentially relative to cross circular section of tore at uniform alternation along circle corresponding to outer diameter of tore with the same angular shift between pairs of said ducts. EFFECT: increased strength of plasmotron members due to improved cooling of them, enhanced efficiency due to shortened time period for changing damaged units. 2 dwg
