FIELD: people rescue equipment, in particular, equipment for isolating terrorists in air carriers. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has catches mounted in passenger saloon seats. Each catcher is made in the form of automatic grips comprising arced clips insertable into electromagnetic devices, which are openly mounted on seat arm rests and equipped with mechanical latches and grip release mechanisms. All seats in passenger saloon are equipped with catches. Grip release mechanisms are controlled from pilot's cabin through coded signal delivered by person responsible for flight. Apparatus allows terrorism in air carriers to be prevented and passengers to be saved. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
