FIELD: transport engineering; vehicles with electric drives. SUBSTANCE: according to invention, torque control of electric motor is provided by means of power converter using driving regulator which controls its operation. This is done to determine time of electric brake switching off at complete stopping of vehicle by means of electric brake control system and for reliable stopping with preservation of riding comfort by reducing braking force at preset velocity. Basing on speed of electric motor measured by speed meter, braking force is calculated, and further speed of electric motor is determined by calculations taking into consideration measured speed of rotation and braking speed at the time when measured speed of rotation of electric motor becomes slower than preset speed, and torque control is effected on basis of values of speed found by calculation with use of power converter driving regulator.
