FIELD: load lifting and slinging operations. SUBSTANCE: according to invention, after determining load center of masses, distance from this center to each lifting pad is determined. Then slings are distributed in order of increasing of their actual length within sling manufacture limits. Slings are connected to lifting pads and gin-tackle of load lifting device according to measured distances. Sling of smaller length is chosen for connection of lifting pad located at smaller distance from center of masses and that of longer length is chosen for greater distance from center of masses. It is prohibited to connect first two slings distributed in length to lifting pads located in one diagonal. EFFECT: simplified process of slinging of large-size loads, reduced labour input in slinging owing to dispensing with making of expensive rigging. 3 dwg
