FIELD: turbomachines. SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for use as compact slow speed device in different branches of industrial engineering and in steam generating equipment for production of superheated steam with simultaneous generation of mechanical energy using Joule-Thomson effect. Toroidal turbine has housing, wheel with shaft, chamber, inlet and outlet branch pipes communicating with working channel of toroidal chamber at different sides of divider, and working and separating disks. Toroidal chamber is formed by row of parallel working channels. Wheel is made in form of set of several working disks with perforated surfaces installed in parallel to each other on shaft with clearance to form parallel working channels with separating disks fitted on the same shaft. Each disk is furnished additionally with ribs made with tilting relative to plane working disks to side opposite to direction of movement of working medium. Ribs of preceding working disk are orientated between ribs of following working disk. Divider is made in form of comb whose teeth get into clearances between working disks to depth of overlapping of parallel channels. EFFECT: increased efficiency. 4 cl, 4 dwg
