FIELD: refrigerating engineering; production of cold for refrigerated houses, regeneration of electrical and mechanical energy. SUBSTANCE: working medium is adiabatically in electrically-driven compressor and is heated with no change in entropy. Then, working medium enters multi-stage turbo- expander through heat exchanger. Stages of turbo-expander are communicated through heat exchangers. Distributed expansion is performed in turbo-expander is articulated with consumer. Group of heat exchangers mounted after each stage of turbo-expander are combined in heat-transfer agent loop passing through cooling tower. Second group of heat exchangers is combined by loop of heat-transfer agent passing through heat exchanger found after compressor. EFFECT: extended functional capabilities; increased coefficient of conversion of mechanical energy. 8 cl, 1 dwg
