FIELD: manufacture of pumps; applicable in gas and oil producing industry for recovery of oil with high gas factor. SUBSTANCE: gas separator has body with suction holes, separating unit in the form of cylindrical drum with radial blades, device for withdrawal of liquid and gaseous media located at drum outlet, and feeding device in the form of auger. Separating unit has free space on its geometric axis in a part of its volume. Diametrical sizes of said space are approximately equal to diameter of shaft, on which auger is mounted. Outlet hole or hole for discharge of gas phase is located on drum axis or near it. Outlet part of separating unit has centrifugal hydraulic seal in the form of dividing disc. Disc outer diameter is smaller than drum inner diameter by 2-10 mm. Located behind dividing disc are channels for withdrawal of liquid phase. Diameter of periphery surface of said channels is smaller than diameter of dividing disc by 2-10 mm.
