FIELD: medicine, control-analytical laboratory tests. SUBSTANCE: method could be applied in control-analytical laboratories for standardization and quality control of medicinal preparations. One should prepare a solution of standard sample of potassium dichromate properties to analyze nicotinic acid and xanthinol nicotinate. Quantitative detection is conducted, optical density is spectrophotometrically measured. Results are calculated by the formula by introducing a scaling coefficient. The method provides higher sensitivity of the assay and reproducibility of results, lower toxicity, labor intensity and error of the assay suggested. EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection. 1 cl
