METHOD FOR COMBINED OPERATION AT CATARACT AND GLAUCOMA Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, ophthalmosurgery. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with carrying out simultaneous operation as the combination of hypotensive operation by Lebekchov-Kuglejev and extracapsular extraction of cataract (EEC) with IOL implantation. Blind corneal incision is performed before the onset of hypotensive operation, then hypotensive interference of impermeable type is carried out by forming intrascleral drainage grooves under a scleral fragment, their beginning is located in resection area of external sinus wall and their ends are withdrawn 1.5-2.0 mm beyond the limits of scleral channel, after that one should conduct cataractous extraction and IOL implantation. The method favors to avoid ocular hypotonicity during EEC operation due to primarily performed blind corneal incision. EFFECT: higher efficiency of combined operation. 5 dwg
