FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves implanting artificial graft into eye. Scleral flaps are preliminarily formed on sclera after having made incisions and having separated conjunctiva on meridians of 2-30, 6-30 and 10-30. The rest sclera and ciliary body layers are incised under the flaps in the middle of their bases. The artificial ophthalmic graft composed of two parts is introduced through corneal incision into the eye cavity. The first part is positive lens having three flexible supporting members fixed in its body. The second one is artificial iris. Loops are available at supporting members ends. Each loop is brought out through earlier made incisions in sclera and sutured to incision edges under the scleral flaps.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of postoperative complications.
