FIELD: nuclear engineering; extraction of isotopes from their natural mixture. SUBSTANCE: device has vacuum chamber 1, charged-particle source 2, insulators 5, funnel 6, and charged- particle collector 8. Source 2 has ionization chamber 3 and electrodes 4 that function to build up sweeping electric field. Funnel 6 is bent over arcs of charged-particle circular orbits and is provided with longitudinal slit 7. Collector 8 is assembled of members 9 and 10. Member 9 is placed near narrow part of funnel 6 along its slit 7. Member 10 is inserted in wide part of funnel 6. Source 2 faces longitudinal slit 7 and is disposed on wide part of funnel 6. The latter is made of static magnet whose poles are separated by longitudinal slit 7. During device operation charged particles to be separated are passed from source 2 to wide part of funnel 8. Light- weight particles run along slit 7 then they are extracted from narrow end of funnel 6 and passed by member 9 to collector 8. Heavy particles run slower and arrive at member 10 of collector 8. EFFECT: enhanced selectivity of particles separation, reduced loss of separated substance, reduced power requirement. 3 dwg
