FIELD: application of transfer pictures to glass surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method involves continuously feeding glass sheets and transfer pictures separable under the action of heat from transfer picture carrier tape into squeezing unit; supplying heat to transfer picture carrier tape to provide for simultaneous separation of transfer picture from carrier tape and applying it onto surface of fed glass sheet. Apparatus has device for sequential feeding of glass sheets to squeezing unit, device for feeding transfer pictures separated under the action of heat from transfer picture carrier tape into squeezing unit, and heater mounted in squeezing unit.
