FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing decorative sheet glass. The method of producing decorative sheet glass using a horizontal tempering furnace involves preparing glase with melting point 620-630°C, which is 10°C higher than the tempering temperature of glass, applying the glase onto the surface of sheet glass, rapid heating to temperature inside the horizontal tempering furnace of 685-710°C and tempering using the horizontal tempering furnace. Rapid heating is carried out using a first regulating factor, involving regulating the time for heating sheet glass with thickness of 2-6 mm to tempering temperature which enables to obtain a glased surface, wherein the heating time is increased with increase in thickness of the glass. Rapid cooling of the sheet glass with thickness 2-6 mm with deposited glase is carried out using a second regulating factor by reducing pressure of cooling air depending on the thickness of the glass, wherein pressure of the cooling air falls with increase in thickness of the glass, wherein the second regulating factor reduces pressure of the cooling air and increases cooling time for sheet glass with thickness of 2-6 mm with deposited glase. When making sheet glass with thickness of 6 mm or higher, pressure of the cooling air and tempering time is set the same way as for glass without glase after rapid heating.
