FIELD: materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to grab mechanisms designed for handling long length materials. Proposed screw grab has crossmember accommodating drive reduction gear, bevel train, hinge joints, tie-rods in form of screws, lead-screw nuts installed with play in support cups, and scoops. Scoops are driven through lead-screw nuts brought out relative to their joints to side of cross-member. Support cups are fixed by stops se cured on scoops when the latter are closed.
