FIELD: mechanics; transportation.
SUBSTANCE: grab bucket consists of horizontal box beam with electric motor fixed thereon, and jaws. Drive sprocket is connected through a link to two hollow shafts located in bearing assemblies. Housings of bearing assemblies are hinged to the beam. In hollow shafts there are nuts with right-hand and left-hand thread, which interact with screws. On screw ends there installed are axes on the ends whereof there mounted are bearings moving in longitudinal slots of the beam. On the axes there installed are levers sliding in supports. The latter are rigidly connected to jaws and hinged by means of axes to brackets fixed on the beam. Screw rods of grab bucket are equipped with limit switches.
EFFECT: decreasing overall vertical sizes of grab bucket, and improving efficiency and life time of operation thereof in constraint environment at increased dust content.
