FIELD: metalworking. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in friction-mechanical application of clad coats followed by electromechanical smoothing. First, working surface of article is rubbed with tool made from copper or its alloys (brass, bronze) to layer of 9 mcm, after which it is subjected to electromechanical smoothing by means of another tool made from hard alloy at radius working surface at rate of 0.1 to 0.2 m/s, pressure of 10 Mpa and current density of 110 to 150 A/mm; both tools and article form common working electric circuit. Proposed method provides for modified microrelief which reduces friction coefficient by more than two times. EFFECT: reduced friction coefficient; holding lubricant on surface; enhanced wear resistance; increased load. 3 cl, 3 dwg
