FIELD: technology of oil recovery from wells; applicable in manufacture of centrifugal pumps. SUBSTANCE: gas separator has body accommodating formed cavity of inflow with inlet and outlet channels, shaft rotating in bearings, auger located on shaft, device for straightening flow of gas-fluid mixture, separating members and means for fastening of shaft in gas separator body. Additional cavity is made in body below inflow cavity and isolated from inflow cavity by means of seal. Additional cavity accommodates axial bearing of shaft taking up axial forces from shafts of pump sections. Pivot of axial bearing is secured to shaft. Thrust bearing is fixed relative to pump body. EFFECT: higher reliability and durability of gas separator due to increased axial bearing load-carrying capacity. 2 cl, 1 dwg
