FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has vessel comprising fire extinguishing liquid and equipped with locking-starting device connected to signaling device, feed pipeline connected to sprayers mounted in room to be protected from fire, vessel with working gas, siphon pipe and gas-liquid mixture generating unit. Inlet end of siphon pipe is dipped into vessel comprising fire extinguishing liquid. Gas-liquid mixture generating unit is made in the form of adapter device having gas chamber and is fixed in hermetically sealing relation in vessel mouth at side adjacent to inlet chamber. Adapter device has inlet chamber, bypass chamber and mixing chamber, which are axially aligned one with respect to another, and gas chamber positioned transverse to adapter. Gas chamber is communicated through first inclined opening with inlet chamber and through second inclined chamber with mixing chamber. Outlet end of siphon pipe is fixed in bypass chamber. Gas chamber is hermetically connected through gas hose with working gas vessel and mixing chamber is hermetically connected with inlet end of feed pipeline. Unit of such construction is used for suppressing fire or fire-dangerous objects with finely dispersed water in closed rooms.
