FIRE EXTINGUISHER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly, portable and stationary fire extinguishers and systems for fire fighting. SUBSTANCE: fire extinguisher has vessel with substance of propellant group and starting head with siphon tube installed on vessel. Substance of propellant group amounts up to 5-15% of total weight of fire-extinguishing fluid. Siphon tube has closed lower end located below the lower level of fire-extinguishing fluid. Siphon tube side has holes located below and above the level of fire-extinguishing fluid. Offered design ensures by simple means discharge of maximum volume of fire-extinguishing fluid in case of full use of fire-extinguisher and, if need be, to cease fire extinguishing operation at relatively low pressure inside vessel.
