FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of rolled stock in bar and sheet rolling mills, possibly cooling rolling rolls at rolling process. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for cooling rolling rolls and rolled pieces includes header with nozzles arranged along its lengthwise axis. Axes of nozzles are arranged in the same plane. Apparatus also includes plates whose deflecting surfaces are inclined by acute angle relative to plane passing through axes of nozzle. There are at least three microrelief zones on deflecting surface of plate. Microrelief is formed by grooves made in plates. One microrelief zone is arranged along lengthwise axis of plane, two other zones are arranged along its lateral edges. Grooves have rectangular cross section at width-to-depth ratio in range 0.8-1.2. Preferably grooves of central zone of microrelief are V-shaped in plan view and their angle apexes are turned towards side of nozzle in plane passing through lengthwise axis of plate and nozzle. EFFECT: enhanced uniformity of cooling rolling rolls and rolled pieces, improved strength of rolls and quality of rolled pieces. 2 cl, 3 dwg
