FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has combined mechanism made in the form of transfer mechanism with output link, actuating mechanism with drive and output links, and drive. Output links of actuating mechanism are equipped with jaws for gripping articles and are movably joined to output link of transfer mechanism. Drive links of actuating mechanism are made in the form of immovable feeler mechanism. Transfer mechanism is made in the form of connecting rod gear with output link formed as connecting rod. Output links of transfer mechanism and actuating mechanism are movably joined through finger rigidly fixed on free end of output link of transfer mechanism. Feeler mechanism is formed as plate rigidly fixed on column. Shaped slots formed in plate body are used for insertion of actuating mechanism output links. Rollers are mounted on free ends of output links of actuating mechanism for engagement with shaped slots of feeler mechanism. Apparatus is employed in combined mechanisms with compound motion of output links used for effecting auxiliary operations during operation of special purpose machines and units.
