FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for construction and repair of railway tracks, particularly to devices for consolidating ballast, and it can be used in cyclic and continuous-action track machines. Said tie tamping outfit has frame on which vibratory drive is mounted, and levers with fitted on two-side tamping tools and hydraulic cylinders included into kinematic circuit coupling vibratory drive with levers. Outfit is provided with tie-rods connecting vibratory drive with housing of hydraulic cylinders. Each hydraulic cylinder has two power pistons mechanically coupled with corresponding levers, and two additional pistons made in form of cups accommodating power pistons in their inner spaces. All tamping tools or part of said tools are secured in forks installed on levers for turning around axles crossed by lever turning axles. Invention reduces number of required hydraulic cylinders and provides more complete compensation for load on main bearings of vibratory drive by changing kinematic diagram of outfit and design of its hydraulic cylinders.
