FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: radar system is designed for use in the capacity of coastal and shipborne radar for surveillance of terrestrial and sea surfaces and for detection of objects on them, small-sized objects included. Technical result of invention consists in reduction of time of synthesis and time of reception of radar information in comparison with known radar having same size of synthesized antenna aperture as proposed radar system has. No mechanical translation of antenna is required to maintain function of generation of high angular resolution in azimuthal plane. It is achieved by insertion into radar system of antenna built non-traditionally. In said antenna installed immobile beam of antenna radiation pattern is imparted with motion in horizontal plane with parallel translation. Phase center of antenna moves in plane perpendicular to electrical axis. Each range element is irradiated with motion of antenna beam and coherent summation of reflected signals is conducted. Artificial (synthesized) aperture of antenna is formed as result of coherent summation markedly exceeding aperture of real antenna and high angular resolution is secured. Possibility of coherent summation of received signals is provided by compensation for phase changes of received signal. EFFECT: reduced time of synthesis and time of reception of radar information. 7 dwg
