FIELD: radar systems; aircraft or helicopter onboard radar systems for observation of ground or water surface and detection of objects in radar cartography modes.

SUBSTANCE: for compensation of phase incursions at synthesizing, use is made of information pertaining to parameters of antenna motion received from inertial navigational system and linear acceleration sensors; procedure consists in treatment of signals reflected from ground objects when magnitude of phase incursions caused by errors of sensors is brought to permissible level dictated by quality criterion of radar information.

EFFECT: reduction of errors of measurements of acceleration; improved characteristics of radar image (resolving power, contrast range, dynamic range).
