FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device is used for electric drives of submersible pump units designed for lifting liquids from boreholes and functions to compensate for changes in oil volume within motor caused by temperature fluctuations in the course of motor operation and during its shutdown periods and to prevent water hammer during downtake motion in borehole. Device has diaphragm clearance 16 of its upper chamber 6 communicating with hole clearance through channel formed by intercommunicating radial and axial holes 23, 25 provided in fitting 9. Axial hole 25 is sealed with rubber rings 30 through integrated annular slots 26, 29 and communicates with hole 28 in support 19 of diaphragm 13 which communicates on other end through radial hole 27 with lower part of diaphragm clearance 16 in upper chamber 6.
