FIELD: phase measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed at detecting phase modulation of video signal with spatial carrier obtained by projecting set of strips onto object under analysis in determining its geometry. During phase detection of phase-modulated digital signals original video signal is converted into analytical signal by complex filtering and elimination of background component effected by means of parallel-connected complex filters, each operating in respective frequency band. Current values of analytical signal amplitude are evaluated in all these frequency bands and frequency band with current amplitude-maximum is found; converted video signal from mentioned frequency band is used to determine analytical signal argument for assessing phase modulation of original video signal. EFFECT: enlarged frequency band of video signal ensuring desired precision of phase evaluation. 4 cl, 4 dwg
