FIELD: medicine, cardiology. SUBSTANCE: one should determine the area and the length of ventricular cavity in parasternal position of ultrasound transmitter by a short axis a bit lower against the level of mitral valves. Then a transmitter is installed apically at a 4-chamber access. A picture should be fixed. Tested cavity is evenly divided with n-parallel lines perpendicular to interventricular septum. Ventricular size is determined by a long axis and the length of every section between the points where internal cavity contour is crossed with the above-mentioned lines. Cavity volume is calculated by the suggested mathematical formula. The method enables to provide reliable diagnostics for different-type ventricular hypertrophy.
