FIELD: processes for repairing casting flaws such as gas bubbles, pores in products of carbon steels and alloys by means of concentrated energy sources, possibly in different branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of dressing for welding in zone with detected flaws; filling dressing with metallic powder material at performing thermic cycles with use of concentrated laser beam; determining total time period of presence of metallic powder in melt state with use of relation: T = τ x n, where T - total time period of metallic powder material being in melt state necessary for going out of all gas bubbles on surface of melt metal; τ - time period of metallic powder material being in melt state at each thermic cycle, τ= 0.9...1,1 s; n - number of thermic cycles necessary for going out of all gas bubbles on surface of melt metal, n = b/L, where b - thickness of melt metallic powder determined by dressing depth of flaw zone, L - motion distance of bubble at each thermic cycle.
