FIELD: transportation of gas and oil products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas and oil products transportation, particularly, to repair of gas and oil pipelines in field conditions by laser welding. When welding defective place, as energy source for melting, laser beam is used, fusion wire is melted in convective mode without formation of steam-gas channel at laser radiation power of not more than 1,500 W, laser beam displacement speed of 1–25 mm/s, transverse beam oscillation amplitude of 2–5 mm and oscillation frequency of 5–100 Hz, wherein laser beam, filler wire and shielding gas are simultaneously fed into defect removal area. Plant consists of housing, in which optical system of laser radiation transportation and focusing is built in, mechanical system providing oscillation of laser beam, filler of filler wire and shielding gas with ceramic nozzle, system for removal of molten metal evaporation products and spent protective gas, protective glass for observation of metal melting with a laser beam, a video camera with a band-pass interference filter, a protective glass for an optical system for transfer and focusing of a laser beam.
EFFECT: invention provides minimum heat input during repair of metal pipelines by means of welding a splicing, high coefficient of used material, environmental friendliness of the process, possibility of real-time control of the process.
