SUBSTANCE: the crank press has a bed, crankshaft with a drive for its rotation, connecting rod and a wedge mechanism in the form of a drive slide and a driven slide kinematically linked with the bed on the wedge surfaces by means of link in the form of a support with a ball surface. The support with a ball surface may be positioned in the bed or in the drive slide. The support ball surface is formed by the ball surfaces of several supports uniformly distributed over the conjugated surfaces of the drive slide or bed. EFFECT: reduced labor content of manufacture and fitting of parts, especially of those with wedge surfaces, enhanced stiffness and precision of the press in the process of operation. 4 cl, 2 dwg, 2 tbl
