FIELD: glassmaking. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetooptic glasses with high values of Verde constant in UV spectrum region, which can be used in optical instrumentation engineering and quantum electronics, for example in order to create magnetooptic (Faraday) gates, modulators, circulators, and similar devices. Glass contains following components, wt %: B2O3 52.5-78.7, Ce2O3 10-40, and Li2O 7.5-11.3 at B2O3/Li2O molar ratio (4-7.2): 1.
