FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: two ferromagnetic waveguides are placed into tank, torsional waves are excited in each waveguide in two points: on separation boundary of media and near end located in liquid medium. Torsional waves are registered by upper end of waveguide. Time intervals between moments of registration of torsional waves are recorded and mean temperature, level and mass of liquid medium are computed by given formulas. Materials of waveguides are so chosen that velocity and temperature coefficients of torsional waves in them are different. EFFECT: raised measurement accuracy of level and mass of liquid media in tanks thanks to diminished errors in determination of mean temperature of liquid medium. 1 dwg
