FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: seeding unit has horizontal cellular drive disk with seed baffle made in the form of cylindrical brush with axis of rotation perpendicular to disk rotation axis. Cylindrical brush inoperative zone is covered with housing. Baffle has drive. Cells in disk are shaped in accordance with shape of seeds to be sown and are defined by group of openings. Openings in each group are spaced from axis of rotation of disk by different distances. Geometric centers of peripheral cells on disk are offset backward from centers of inner cells by value equal to 2-3 sizes of seed length. Connecting members are extending in concentric circles on disk surface at both sides of each cell in offset relation with respect to peripheral edge toward its center, with height of each connecting member exceeding seed thickness by 1.08-1.15 times. Seeding disk of such construction is preferably used for seeding cucurbitaceous crop seeds. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced damage to seeds and improved seeding quality. 3 dwg
