FIELD: current supervision of cardiac activity relative to determination of the heart rate, stroke volume of the heart and minute ejection of the heart from the thoracic bioimpedance and electrocardiograms. SUBSTANCE: distortions of the amplitude-phasefrequency signals of bioimpedance are corrected due to transmission of sinusoidal test signals through measuring electrodes for identification of distortions and their correction in the course of real measurements. For separation of the harmonics of the heart rate use is made of the derivative with respect to the time of bioimpedance signals, calculated power spectrum and the new algorithm of autoconvolution. The breathing waves and other signals not carrying any information on patient's cardiocycles are removed. The time of ejection of the left ventricle of the heart is obtained from the bioimpedance signals, and for calculation of the stroke volume of the heart and, as a result, of the minute ejection of the heart use is made of a perfected version of the Kubichek equation.
