FIELD: medicine, ophthalmosurgery. SUBSTANCE: one should resect conjunctiva near the limbus in four quadrants along oblique axes. Conjunctiva is separated to the rear and four scleral incisions are made. The depth of incisions corresponds to 0.8-0.9 scleral thickness. Incisions should be widened by applying thermocoagulants between incisions at the depth of one third of scleral thickness at 450-500 C or due to applying and tightening sutures at scleral sections between two neighboring incisions. The method enables to improve visual functions near without any presbiotic correction. EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy. 2 cl, 3 dwg
